After a while though, your shadow is at least one thing you don't have to worry about. The light fades and it is swallowed up by the darkness all around you. It doesn't take your eyes long to grow accustomed to the dark. That is to say, you’ve grown accustomed to seeing nearly nothing at all and navigate the passages more by scent and touch and the currents of the air than anything else. However, as you turn a corner, you’re met with the startling sight of countless glowing red eyes which all turn to look directly at you. You quickly backpedal, frantically blinking to bring clarity to your bleary vision, only to find the eyes have disappeared when yours open once again.

The deeper into the caves, the more things grow unsettling. The smallest scuttle of a bug, of the dripping water. Still, Icarus is less afraid than he should be - perhaps almost as if he was welcoming fear. Its during the briefest moment, with a flash of countless red eyes staring at him - which are unmistakable, even if only for a second, one wonders if the shadows before truly were of their own, or if reality has shifted in him.
