One of the most conceptual pieces I have ever done

" Five Minutes to Midnight "

Inspiration for this piece was from one of my favorite painters, Caravaggio, who always uses negative space and darkened areas to bring out the most important details of a piece.

Im going to explain this a bit. I'm very enthralled with the subconscious, this is what my app piece is about... its going to take some time to explain.

A while ago I talked to Clyzm on Da for a bit, and it opened my mind to new ideas and concepts that I could be working on. So far, this is one of my most conceptual pieces. While every piece I make has some part of me in it(my abstract pieces are about me) this piece has alot more relevance.

The light and haze: the light represents my thoughts, as I think about concepts it can sometimes be very hard... hazy, hard to see, but sometimes I see an idea emerging, which was the case with this piece. The reflective orbs represent the times in my life where i see reflections of my work, as bad, as insignificant and small compared to the work of other artists. It doesnt happen much(hence the small number of orbs) but when it happens, it leaves me in a place where I feel horrid. The walls to the piece look like glass, ready to shatter, and represent the walls I will break one day when I am satisfied with my skills, and when I finally achieve happiness with my art. The clock shows 5 minutes to midnight, to a dawn, a new beginning. Something I hope to achieve with Cosmosys.
