Description
This is my first customized action figure. It was quite the experience. I always wanted a really decent action figure of Scarlet, who happens to be one of my favorite super heros. I couldnt find one that I liked, so I got the idea that I would make one of my own! To make him, I dug through my sons toybox, found a spiderman action figure, one of the first ones that came out with 32 points of articulation, something like that. I think the action figure was from around 2000 or later. I did have some problems with him. I jumped the gun and didnt sand the joints or the paint down first. I used Clay to make his shirt, arm braces, belt, leg pouches and eyes. I also enhanced all of his lag and arm muscles, as he too pretty lanky for my liking. Then I began painting with acrylics. After doing a little research, and asking some deviants, I found that I had to borrow my neighbors dremel grinder. I sanded down the joints, which caused some paint to peel, so I had to do many coats to cover the mistakes. Afterwards, I experienced a little paint rub around the joints. The finishing product turned out nicely, and to cover the few imperfections, I dry brushed some grey color mixture I made inbetween his muscle definition and everywhere else, which in my opinion gave him a nice finish.
