City and the Beast features a lot of mythology, LGBTQ+ characters, fallen stars, eldritch abominations and their timeless guardians, grumpy priests, fancy lawyers

City and the Beast is a story about a thief trying to find the key to getting his life back on track, about a homeless man who wants to stop stealing lives, and about a wayward biker delivering packages for a shady priest. In the streets and docks of New Coalport the business is booming, shadowy figures are lurking, and you get to experience their double-dealings from at least three different perspectives. Who is the beast and who is the man in this city, and do falling stars really bring luck? Do people need ears to hear, and how can a lawyer cause a basement crack? Read and find out!

Sometimes, I just wonder if those eyebrows are even real. Like, they look like stickers to pull off. XD

Let him be mad. :3 He's prolly the one who decided it was a good idea to have brows with the same shape as the first letter in my real name anyway. XD

Square brows being fake go over my head in cartoony styles, because I'm used to them, but S-brows have no escape. Hehehehe

I can legitimately say, "What the fuck?" Lmfao, he looks human, but that level of uncanny valley seems to suggest otherwise.

Cool, I rarely see the Aztecs and their mythology getting referenced in fiction even when they are set in America (if this is even set in America), which I find odd considering that they are their local gods. I think it has to do with the gore, but honestly, people seem to be unfazed by the amount of rapes that Zeus commited over the years. Like, ngl...I kinda think the Greek pantheon is overrated. And while no hate to Rick Riordan, it would've probably been a whole lot better if he set his story in modern day Greece and/or in Italy instead of the US or if his Magnus Chase series took place in Germany or some Nordic country. Kinda find it strange that America almost never uses their ancient gods in their writing.

Dang, that is so much to swallow that makes me even more curious. XDDDD I wonder how you'd be able to blend so many different cultures and religious beliefs in one story and still make it make sense, especially with how that'd be a personal goal of mine eventually.

I've been planning to read Neil Gaiman's stories eventually, because I heard that he's good at mixing myths while maintaining sensibility in it. I just happen to be broke, as usual. OTL

Popular authors tend to have more expensive books, no surprise there though, especially with that much demand. I plan to read PJO and Magnus Chase as well, so that I can relate to my online friend's fandoms, but I honestly wouldn't consult Rick in regards to worldbuilding.

I see how slowly revealing elements can be useful. I plan my story to be a multiverse setting as well. Although I'll write it first, I mainly plan for it to be a 2D fighting game, as I think it lines up more with the spirit of the characters I'm trying to write. That or I just played Skullgirls and say playthroughs of Them's Fightin' Herds. >w>

You read my mind. American Gods is in fact the book I was aiming to acquire first. I already did save up cash in my wallet, since I saw it in a bookstore once. It disappeared though. Like, dang...someone has beaten me to it. Lol, but someday...SOMEDAY. OTL

I'll be making a lot of adopts, and once I can have PayPal, I'll sell them on here and Tumblr. Maybe I'll go to Instagram and Twitter. Although, I plan on deleting my Twitter tbh. I hate it there.
