He gets a little aggressive when Discord is mention because of the pranks he does, it's opposite of the original personality of the dormouse since he would freak out when cat is mentioned around him so went with spike can get aggressive

I don't remember I lent my book out to a friend and it's been a while since I've read it, the cat gets mentioned in the old Disney movie, I been using almost most versions for references
