Description
My intense fear of pink drives me to shoot bw and tri-x. I like zebras and pandas, I don't much fancy flowers. I like social realism and this is one of my most descriptive and raw images. My psychologist, my psychiatrist and my dentist all believe I must face my worst nightmares. I do that by participating in the Pink contest.Black and white are for girly men, pink is the metro-viking colour!
Data: 300d, sunny day, 1/4000s, iso 200, manual mode.
Processing: None
Note: This is a real photo and has not been photoshopped or altered except being converted straight from the raw-file which can be provided if this is questioned. The funny EXIF-data are real because it was shot in a funny but carefully planned way.

pink is the new blue....
but It's a bit an eye sore... maybe your dislike for the colour shimmered a bit through 
other than that. It made me curious. because it's quite gutsy to put up a frame filled with urg.... pink...

ok, NOT to be arrogant or something... but this is just a big pink box. Maybe I'm not refined enough to appreciate this kind of art, and I'm not trying to flame you or sound aggressive but I've been looking at this photo while reading the comments and I still don't see what's "Intelligent interpretation" or "VERY clever" with this photo.
Please, I'm really willing to understand what others find so great in this. To me it just looks like a box of pink that anyone with MS Paint and a mouse could do. I'm sorry.
(And I'm hoping you put this up for print just for kicks. Right?)

PS: On my laptop this looks better. The screen gradients to a lighter shade at the bottom. And as I scroll up and down the lighter shade moves with me.

Reminds me of a time when I saw an orange square in an art book. I still don't quite understand why a block of one color is considered art. Unless you say that the color is art but then humans didn't create color did they?

Sorry, but this is crap. I'm disappointed that a talented photographer like yourself would bother wasting your time and dA's bandwidth with this. Perhaps what is worse is that so many people blindly accept this as "art" (it doesn't take ANY talent to shoot with no lens) and try to justify this PINKness as some sort of statement on the social status of man.

Perhaps the beauty of this piece is not in the art it's self. But rather in the reactions to it. Take your comment as an example, only the best art can inspire emotion (even if bad emotion) from an audience.
Then compare your comment to the title of it, Decay of Mankind. Reflects your arrogance.

So anything that inspires emotion is art? If I were to witness a brutal murder or a sexual act, then I'm really just seeing a "performance piece"? C'mon... get real. Every weekend, I shoot a wedding and I'm constantly taking ExpoDisc readings to correct my white balance. I've seen hundreds of images so similar to this that an untrained eye wouldn't be able to see the difference. Have I created hundreds of "works of art"? No. I'm creating digital garbage and I'm wise enough to throw them away. *Hint hint*
