A while ago I drew a ton of goats, so that kind of helped me figure out how to make Toriel extra goat-y here. So first try to study something from real life related to what you want to draw.Β
To make this piece, I started with a rough sketch, followed by a cleaned up sketch. Then on a layer underneath the cleaned up sketch, I did some basic shading to get an idea of how the light will hit. I'm careful not to do too much detail on this layer though, because I don't want it covered by the sketch. I made a final layer on top of everything where I added all the detail and shading and stuff, and the sketch was mostly covered at the end.Β
Grayscale paintings are quick and effective at getting across a realistic form, so I recommend doing greyscale before you try with color!
