Okay I'm expecting a lot of disagreement over this image--I know everyone has a different image of "unmasked V" in mind (And perhaps some of you would prefer V to remain masked). Anyway, I struggled a lot with this and the more I worked on different faces, I became increasingly sure that none other than Hugo Weaving himself could match his voice. But hey, it was worth a shot.So this is my rendition of V, unmasked. Although realistically he'd probably be completely disfigured with intense third-degree burns and most likely hairless, I chose to draw a slightly optimistic version.

Since we never know for sure what his face looked like, your version is just as valid as anyone else's.

I like how you kept the face with the voice, most people couldn't think of what V would look like to match his voice. He probably was a little more "disfigured" in away but not entirely because he could speak very well. (handsomely if I may add.)

Hey i have always wandered what V looked like behnd that mask of his so you will get no complaint from me. I thank you did exellent work on giving V a face to were we can remember him by before he litteraly went toasty.

I agree with what everyone is saying that for the effect of the movie and novel, he couldn't have been unmasked, and although I loved that aspect of them both, we need a little optimism!

You realize of course that giving him a face diminishes his meaning. Your optimism is adorable, but there is no flesh and blood behind that mask, only an idea.

No matter what he looks like in reality under the mask, I'll always love V for the pure fact that we never find out and that he remains an enigma throughout the whole film and graphic novel. Chances are, he is disfigured and unrecognisable but I really like this picture very much. That smile is beyond gorgeous and he looks just as charming as he acts. All us fangirls need a bit of optimism when it comes to V.

For me, never thought of what he was like under the mask. Because in my opinion, what's under the mask is the man he was before. The guy fawkes mask, that's who he's become.

This is a very nice version of V, kind of looks like the sort of chap you would find in a bakery of some sort. Very cheery and adorable. And, yet, there's some sort of slyness behind that grin. xD

U know? I felt in love with V... every girl who reads the comic or sees the movie fells in love with him. With or without his mask... I'd never imagined V this way, though I never tried to imagine him. This version is nice :3 I love it, seriously. I can perfectly match V with this face, its just that it doesn't fit with the voice he has in spain... but it still looks amazing ;DD

I can see that being V. Honestly, V's hair would look ridiculous on Hugo Weaving without the mask, so, no, I can't actually picture him underneath it.
He does have an amazing voice though. They could not have cast V better.

I really like this! Even if it is true to say that in 'reality' V was probably disfigured beyond recognition, we could say this is what V would look like if people (ie Evey) saw him for his character,... for who he IS rather than what he physically looks like due to burns. Thanks for sharing!
