Description 70 x 100 cm;

Wolves: "Skilled predators, at the top of the food chain, they evoke the vital and entirely unsentimental instinctual energies of the animal psyche. Our projections on them reveal our longing for a (re)connection with our own animal soul, and our terror that the encounter will result in the dismemberment of the ego."
- The Book of Symbols

And this is where the journey begins.

Alright, I have to ask, how do you get your brush strokes to taper off? With Corel Painter I just cannot seem to get the stroke to get any thinner at the end, making fur quite the pain to draw.

Flind In reply to Loxome [2013-09-04 02:28:09 +0000 UTC]

Weird, hmm. I just make less pressure at the end or paint with other colour on the solid line to shape it, if you know what I mean.

hrrrrrrrrrrr... I'll give it a shot. What did you do for textures, or just the textured look in the drawing? Mine always look so flat.

Flind In reply to Loxome [2013-09-14 08:13:25 +0000 UTC]

what textures do you mean?

Loxome In reply to Flind [2013-09-15 21:02:56 +0000 UTC]

Like the red and blue near the top, it's not just a flat color. I always have trouble with that.

Jesteś kolejna osobą w ciągu niewielu dni, której praca powstała z negatywnych emocji i nie wiem, czy życzyć, by kolejne tez takie były i smutek nie przeszedł, czy poprawy nastroju Cx

Flind In reply to Milena-Zaremba [2013-05-28 05:35:29 +0000 UTC]

To przechodzi i wraca, nazwij to weną jeśli chcesz ;] I dziękuję.

This is incredible. I love the pose and how the wolf is materializing from what I imagine to be the ideas, wonder and mystery that humanity perceive from wolves and other animals. This is all around beautifully executed from the wolf to the gorgeous background and made even more stunning by your amazing sense of creativity and symbolism.
