All I did was to copy the ballerina, then I flipped her vertically and pushed it down a bit so the copy-layer comes directly below, and then I just lowered the opacity a bit, around 20-50% is usually enough! It's a very easy thing to do trust me!

thank you I appreciate it... oh wait I do have a question, what do you use to paint your manipulations?
flina In reply to kgifted91 [2011-07-10 18:33:07 +0000 UTC]
Well earlier I used to combine filters and regular painting, but these days I try to paint from scratch...and it's not all that easy lemme tell ya! It got a lot easier when I got my tablet, or at least when I finally learned how to use it haha! It takes a lot getting used to to suddenly use a pen again (I used to draw and do sketches before, when I was younger)but it's a whole diffrent experience to paint with pen pressure then with the mouse..It gets a lot more controlled and more natural. Otherwise I just use photoshop, and sometimes paint shop pro when I'm doing tag-tutorials on the web!

oh ok I always like how artist made their manipulations look like it was painted. I don't have a tablet so I guess I'm gonna have to use either photoshop or use paint shop pro and thanks again I just want to learn everything I can to get better at photo manipulations
flina In reply to kgifted91 [2011-07-10 20:33:51 +0000 UTC]
Yeah well, the most important is to learn the basics is photomanipulation before you start drawing anyway, unless you ONLY want to draw of course! I did excellent with a mouse and photoshop for almost two years before I figured I needed a tablet to get better and move forward! So I think you should focus on the basics, that's the best way to start!

I'm defenitly gonna look at more tutorials to learn the basics
