If deviantart has to shrink it itself, it makes the bg black, but if it stays it's original size, than the transparency stays as well

Do you have to blot out the entire bg in whatever program you use so that the checker background thingy is visible when you do it?

When I use gimp...uhmmm err IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN. *thinks* It depends on how you colour stuff in Gimp >_< You can just turn off visibility on your bg layer, it should be transparent I DUNNO HOW YOU COLOUR STUFF IN GIMP SO THIS IS HARD

and don't ask what that emote has to do with anything..I just wanted it there XD
