Carrie Underwood's "Just A Dream" inspired this wholly. The emotion of the song didn't call for my typical cel-style, so this is a much softer illustration technique. As you can tell, I'm a bit rusty at it so bear with me on it. I'm also a bit rusty at working with blondes... I hope the emotion and feeling behind this image shine through my shortcomings.

I don't think there are many whose life hasn't been touched by the passing of someone in the military.

It was two weeks after the day she turned 18
all dressed in white
going to the church that night
She had his box of letters in the passenger seat
A six pence in her shoe

She put her veil down trying to hide the tears
