But I was wondering, how come there's no blur when you used a shutter speed of 1sec?! :S

it was pretty dark (generally is at this type of event..) and I used a flashgun on second curtain sync. (when the flash fires at the end of the exposure rather than at the beginning.) using that technique the sensor picks up the bright lights on the decks (and not the dj who is in darkness) and then flashes the subject afterwards, thus resulting in no motion blur. hope that was a good enough explanation!
