Love the way you do the feet. Really readable pose, with a nice silhouette and motion

I think this pose is very dynamic and cool However, I think the eye visible is a bit too "long". If it were slighty shorter, I'd say it was flawless ^__^
Good capture of Raven's character!

There's such a nice, full feeling to your drawings that I love. They are so fleshed out and believable. I love how the legs and paws look like they have some weight to them as opposed to fur which is much lighter. I also love how consistent the angle is. I'm sorry, I can't find anything really that needs critique. The back looks a bit short but I understand his back is bent. Nifty stuff

And I'm sorry my half of our trade is taking so long - I've been quite busy lately, but I haven't forgotten about it and will do it at the first possible chance I get. Thank you for being so patient with me!

I've been seeing this character pop up all over the place, lol. It's a nice and simple design. I really like the pose on this, but there's something that I've noticed with many of your dog drawings. I realize this might be a stylistic choice and of course, feel free to ignore it, but your paw pads are always budging. This isn't usually a problem until the feet are on the ground, but when they are they look a little swollen, or like the fur just abruptly stops on the toe.

Thank you very much! I really love getting critiques about my style in general. So, let me make sure I understand correctly - are you saying that the pawpads show too much in pictures like these two? [link] [link] And do they look alright when the paws are in the air, like in the picture this comment is on?

I just looked at some Google pictures, and found these: [link] [link] [link] I see what you mean from them - the pawpads are really just barely visible. Is that what you were talking about?

Thank you very much!

GreyMornArt In reply to FlannMoriath [2009-03-12 00:29:33 +0000 UTC]

Yup, you got it. When they're in the air it's less noticeable, not you can still tell. I think if you move the claws further down the toe, you won't need to have all the extra pad. If you notice in those photos, dog claws are generally close to the ground.
