I love the idea of Nightmare Twilight!! I wish the comics had done that because I feel Twilight has a crapton of insecurities they could hade focused on!

Nice piece.
What characterizes NT as a proper villain? The drawing lacks a bit of information about that.
I would also recommend to choose an accent color, which would help make core aspects stand out.

Okay, so my overall impression is that this is indeed an evil version of Twilight Sparkle. I have no idea what could make her turn into a nightmare, but it seems it was horrible because this is very dark and serious indeed. I like the effects of the dark-looking magic and the white teeth---it adds to the atmosphere of dark and evil.
However, this is not too scary either, and I appreciate that. Β A lot of villain pictures are totally dark or scary or creepy, but this isn't like that---I can still enjoy it while still seeing that this is an evil villain.
I think you did a good job.
However, I would like to see this as a full body instead of a headshot---what does the rest of her look like?
