As usual, very innovative utility! I'm sure there are plenty of Police/Military/PMC groups who'd love to have something as functional as this. This would fit right in to the production design prop arsenal of a tech-oriented film or anime, like Ghost in the Shell for example.
I've had similar musings over such minutiae -such as a mech shield that could also be deployed for temporary infantry use. Shares some basic principles.
