well originaly it was an alternative for a "necron monolith" which is a big mean war machine for a quasi-nerdy tabletop wargame called Warhammer 40,000. My idea was to make a steampunk themed necron army. but after loading almost 40 hours of build time into this beasty, and another 30-35 hours build time on its sister machine, i decided to put that on hold and just enjoy them as a bit of sculpture. I still have plans to continue the army, but the army has moved me back stateside meaning that hobbies are on the back burner for now.
