You know something? I get that this gem looks like a pokeball. But I keep getting the feeling that centipeedle would make a good Pikmin enemy. Is it wrong that I think that?

What's pikmin?

It's sort of tough to describe. It's about exploring an earth like planet with these animal/vegetable creatures called Pikmin. You collect stuff, fight beasts and solve puzzles.

Oh yeah. Be warned, though, the main goals change from game to game. Which, credit where credit's due, that's one of those features that makes the series so fun. In the first game you have to use the Pikmin to collect the missing parts of your wrecked ship. In the second, you use them to collect "treasure" to pay your companies debt. If you find a copy, I recommend buying it. Just don't get Pikmin 3 yet.

The idea of pokeballs came to mind whenever this was shown.. The one who designed this might've not thought about that =w=" Kinda like the times you could play "Gotta go fast! soonic~!" when i saw Jasper.. oh heck, this is self-explainatory youtu.be/0q-RSGsTI-0?t=190 or when Amethyst didΒ youtu.be/CaGRSWPoNt0?t=80 they look so obvious to sonic it feels like they are more like references Γ³.0

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a reference. After all, in one episode, Steven's shown with a Gamecube and another Sour Cream is shown with some Gameboys, so I wouldn't say it's a stretch if it's supposed to look like one.
