Description
It started as a love picture of Finrod and Amarië, and as soon as I finished that I decided to include the tales of Finrod's siblings as well. No surprise that it ends in four panels. I don't even remember when I started the Finrod and Amarië one: something of last month, obviously. The Celeborn and Galadriel is the last to finish (3 days ago).

For this piece of drawing I just want to show these elves (I'm not talking about Andreth now; the human girl is obviously shy and a little bit nervous in my picture) simply as creatures in love, not bearing any titles and the duties and burdens ensued from them. A split moment for them to relax, maybe. I don't consider I've achieved what I want, though: I always have a hard time capturing the feel of softness I want to show.

About Edhellos: this is the Sindarin form of the Quenya name Eldalótë, wife of Angrod and mother of Orodreth. There's no mention of her in The Silmarillion; she only appears in The Peoples of Middle-earth (HoME 12). Nor does Andreth make into The Silmarillion, either, but somehow her story is way more famous. [And I am placing Edhellos, the Sindarin form, here because it looks more fitting with the name Angrod, also a Sindarin form (Quenya equivalent: Angaráto). And I am using Sindarin names in general because: a. they are better-known; b. they are easier to type (fewer accent marks )]
