I'm posting this BEFORE I read the new storyline in case my opinion on him changes
Right now, I REALLY like this guy and I think he's pretty dang cool. I hope that doesn't change by the end of the current arc. (I'm a bit behind - no spoilers, please!) Anyway, some sketches to practice drawing Thrash (most of my sketch pages have weird comments all over them) because I was planning on using him in a comic/fanfic I'm working on. Again, hoping it doesn't change, because that'd kind of ruin my story...It bothers me how his mouth looks when it opens that far. It looks disjointed. Next time I draw him, I'll have to figure out if that can be pulled off better (I was trying to imitate here).

Thrash, what the echidnas did in the past was wrong I know, but that's no excuse to take it out on the echidnas of the present. I want to help Knuckles, but I want to help you too.

Look, SOMEBODY had to be last, and Knuckles was off doing his own thing (as usual - pheh, some Guardian). And the bee girl was collateral damage. To make an omlette, you gotta break a few eggs, you know what I'm sayin'?

Ok, I just got caught up. And it looks like my cousin and I predicted correctly that he planned to wipe out the echidnas. I still think there's hope for him. I mean, he helped the DFF. That's got to mean something. Plus, anyone who tries to kill Julie-Su can't be ALL bad!

He is a good person at heart, he just doesn't like Echidnas. In the comic I'm reading, he helps out an injured Sonic, Amy and Tails.

Yes, and he also implied he removed the Echidnas - Julie-Su included - from their dimension...? I think? That seemed to me what he was implying. But hey, he tried to get rid of Julie-Su. And for that reason I still like him

I honestly don't care what he does to anybody else. But when he took JS he took Saffron with him.

I hate her, actually. She's almost as bad as Sally. I don't have a problem with either of them being introduced girlfriends, but neither of them are at ALL right for the guy they're being forced on by the writers. Their personalities are lacking greatly, in my opinion. Saffron, though, is a little angel and I adore her! I don't think Thrash would hurt her. Not after how we saw him treat Amy. JS would have put up a nasty fight and forced him to use force. No offense, but Saffron isn't the physically strongest fighter. She could've been incapacitated quickly and relatively harmlessly.

I sort of admire Julie-Su because she's one of those people who'd attack a guy if they triedΒ to mess with her or her friends. But she's sort of a female Knuckles, which I don't like.
At lease Sally's a bit different.

I have to admit, I do appreciate the attempt to give us an actually strong female lead. And I also admit that I am biased against her because she was created by (*spits*) Ken Penders. But she does seem to be getting better. It's just annoying how she and Knuckles were just kind of forced together with no real explaination for it. And Knux is out-of-character around her, though that's getting better too.
Ugh, Sally. I literally cheered when she got captured. At least we don't have to deal with her talking for awhile.
Right, I agree! JS would've put up a nasty fight and forced him to use force (plus she's an echidna so Thrash would've been nasty anyway). Saffron would've done her best but she wouldn't really be a match for him, and he probably would've been careful not to hurt her too badly. He seems like a fairly decent guy, just misguided. But I mean, he does have a right to hate echidnas. He's never really known anything but pain and suffering from them. He has no reason to believe they're anything but cruel. That's no reason to try to wipe them out, of course. But still, he didn't kill them. He painlessly removed them from the scene. So I think he'll end up reforming and becoming a good guy again

Knuckles is getting a bit better with the opening out to JS. Though they sort of have the same personality, so they're probably so similar we didn't even realize he was opening up.
I cheered when she got robotised. Though it made Sonic very upset, which didn't make me happy. I don't mind if he and Sally are together, just keep Sonic happy. That's all I care about.
I imagine that Saffron tried to help, but ended up getting hurt OR Thrash just tricked both girls into stepping into the portal with him. I have to agree, it would be difficult to trust a species that tortured you your entire life. And you're right, that gives no excuse to go and destroy them all. Seems a bit extreme to me (Sorry Thrash). I think he sent them off painlessly, but to a bad area.
Which is why Knuckles is so angry with him.

Yes, I agree they are getting better. But JS needs a more individualised personality (that isn't annoying or Mary-Sue) before she'll actually be likeable. And I really don't find them very believeable as a couple, you know? Like how they interact? I think Ian is going for "they're comfortable with each other" but it still feels forced.
Right, exactly! I wouldn't mind if Sonic ended up with Sally if she actually had a personality. I admit I do ship him with Amy, BUT not in present tense. When he starts settling down and maturing a bit, and she starts calming down and maturing herself, they'll eventually be perfect for each other. But not yet. In the meantime, I'm not one of the "kill anyone who ruins my OTP" type people. Like you, I'm cool with it as long as Sonic is happy, and the relationship is believable.
That's a possibility. JS had met Thrash before, so there's no reason she wouldn't trust him to some extent. And I suspect you're right about it being a bad place he sent them to. Maybe some sort of nega-zone or something?
Poor Thrash is gonna get in trouble with the Zone cops, in that case!

I agree. She could be a great character. Just needs to work out the kinks!

Sonic was running and found you. Asked you out. Then you had dinner. After the date he said: "Sorry, you're a loser I'm gonna go off with ___(insert quiz maker's name)__ bye!" Then he leaves and you're forever alone."
This was a real quiz result. Except I corrected all the spelling errors. I wanted to go up to the quiz maker and be like: "DUDE. I DON'T EVEN LIKE SONIC IN THAT WAY." 
And Saffron couldn't do anything about it. 
We have to respect that they're a couple.

I don't usually stumble upon things like that, but I do agree they are annoying. The Sonic fandom, man. I honestly have no doubts as to why most people don't take us seriously. It's because of THEM >:T
I'm sure they're fine. I doubt Ian will kill them off at such short notice. That'd be really strange.

It's everytime I see a recolor or a "god mode" fan character, I want to die. Because those are the fans who have no dignity or pride for there characters.
