Hurrah! It's [finally] done

I've just been writing so much lately that my sketchbook has gotten left on the table gathering dust. It's a sad thing, really, especially because I have these great ideas of things I want to draw but whenever I try I get impatient really fast and have to stop for fear of messing something up.

Anyway, I was afraid this was going to look hideous but the more I shaded and the more I worked on it the better it looked. David Boreanaz was used for reference -- and here I thought Jim Caviezel has oddly-shaped lips. I tried to fix them to look a bit more Carth-like but they still look a tad strange in my opinion.

My cat was very intrigued by the tiny pencil strokes I was using for the goatee/stubble and she kept lurking and staring at me...

Anywho, done over like 3 days total (with a 2-3 week hiatus in between) with pencils that I can't even remember because it was too long ago. I know there was a 3B and a 6H in there somewhere.
