Description Edit: I adjusted the levels. One thing that's been bothering me about this image for ages is that it's too dark. I lightened it slightly and I think I'm happier with the way it looks now.

I've been working on THIS thing for the last few days probably! And gasp! Look at that! A background that's actually a significant part of the image and isn't just there to make it seem like whatever I drew isn't floating around in an empty void!

I wanted to try something I hadn't done before and also wanted to work with a bluey-greeny-orangey-yellowy uh... colour scheme. Yes. And so we end up with a forest scene!

(Oh and that tiiiiiny mushroom below that bigger mushroom near the middle of the image there is my favourite mushroom. You know... The one poking up from between those roots...!)

Wow, this is amazing. I really love how this turned out, wonderful work with all the shading and the tones, and the details are just incredible.

Yay! Mushroom!

I wish I could draw like that. Although I can draw pretty well in real life, my computer art sucks.

So what I really mean is, I wish I had a scanner and some paint.

But this is really great.

Heh, I draw better on actual paper than I do on the computer also... It's just so convenient to be able to uh... "zoom in" by just sticking my face closer to the page and to be able to rotate the picture to draw at more comfortable angles! But uh... THANKS AND STUFF!

So soft and pretty. It's much easier to distinguish against dA's light background, too. Looks great!

Holy #%@& Yosh!
That's fantastic! I love how soft it all feels, like the air is humid and despite it being night it's warm ^_^
Very beautiful!
In all honesty, I am very jealous of your skills. You colour so beautifully!
Perhaps I should come over there and pull a Highlander on you. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!
...
anyways.
I love the hat. It's cool ^_^

Well THANK YOU and stuff! And thank you too, newfound artistic patience! If it weren't for you, none of this would have been possible. ;_;
And uh... uh... uh...! I always feel bad when people say they're jealous of me because uh... jealousy isn't a fun emotion! (Though it's also "nice" in a way because it shows that I've uh... got to a point where people find my skills enviable?! When I'm used to just being the uh... envy... er. Of all the many, many artists who are better than me. Or something.) o_O

And I wish I had a hat like that! I should become uh... a hatsmith so I can MAKE such hats. Yes. A WANDERING hatsmith. I'd travel around the planet peddling my hats and would gain enough recognition for people to actually hope that I appear in their town again one day. And they'd celebrate when I did. This would end world depression because everyone would be so full of hope that the hatsmith would one day return to their town that they wouldn't have any emotional uh... ROOM to be unhappy! I have big dreams you see! I'll change the world one day! o_O

lol, I believe a hatsmith has a far cooler name. They are called "haberdashers" and you could have a traveling "haberdashery". I would buy your hats and celebrate your coming with an enormous party where everyone would dawn their headgear in a sign of respect ^_^ T'would be wicked!
I think jealous was the wrong word. Envious is better... but still is kind of the same... hmmmm... what I feel isn't negative, I just hope to be as capable as you some day ^_^
Nothing negative, dearie!
I'm very used to being the person who finds other peoples work enviable, alas, the status of being envied by many is far from my grasp at this point. It's okay though, I would rather be envied for being good rather than just having some kind of device that would warp peoples minds and make them envy me for nothing... I think. That whole envy device thing sounds pretty cool
lol, trust me, though, you are very talented ^_^ Hell, you don't even have to trust ME! You can just look at all the comments by all the other wonderful people on this site!
^_^

XD
Knowing there are words out there like "haberdasher", I wish even more that I could like... memorise the dictionary. There are probably all sorts of not-commonly-used words out there that would be so amusing to use in everyday conversation and I just don't KNOW them! D:
But since you told me about haberdashers, I'll tell you about sniggling, which is "to fish for eels by thrusting a baited hook into their lurking places." I'm sure you can make a lot of use out of THAT one with all the uh... talking about eel fishing you surely do, you sniggler, you! o_O

lol, I'm always sniggling in "Zelda: Ocarina of Time". Freaking eel. lol
Thank you, I didn't know that one!
As an afterthought and also a way of continuing our random word-ness here is another word not frequently used: "Cobbler" - a person who makes or repairs shoes. I get so tired of hearing people say "shoe-maker" lol!

Usually I'm more focused on the uh... CREATURE thing I'm drawing rather than the background, so I end up just drawing that and being annoyed that there has to be a background at all, but this time I actually started with focus on the surrounding area and the mood it would create or something. It was totally inspired by Twilight Princess too (just like my LAST thing!), even though I didn't use exactly the colours I originally intended to use. Either way, I still like the colours I have now...!

I was actually thinking it looked like something that was in the Forest Temple, or the area before it. But I just really liked it. : D

Gasp! People actually see the things I put in my LiveJournal! I always end up surprised if anyone ever comments on that thing or mentions it or anything! o_O
But uh... yes! Hurrah for finishing things! And using my arty mind control powers to make you make squealy noises!
