This OC of mine was one of the earliest character creation I've ever made! Anatomy is such a troll. But at the moment I am happy with how she turned out, and that dress creases. Just a little bothered by the overall colouring of the piece. Need more practice then! Comments, critiques, anyone?

So if you're interested in the history of my OC, read on! :S

Years ago, when I was younger, she was originally swimming around my head as the cool heroine character that was ever constantly struggling (and surviving like a boss lol) through perils after perils that I had devised in my head . i.e. Surviving zombie apocalypse. (Now I know this sounds very 'mary sue'-ish, but hey that was the past so your judgement is invalid.) And so back then she was part of a lot of identities, look entirely different than now, because I was random with things and stuffs when I tried to sketch down scenes of her in action, blah. And then I started drawing her with more and more 'defined traits', as I called it, and eventually she was seen in most sketches prowling around in dresses (because dress is awesome).

It was not until the past few years I've started to just draw her out for fun and pin down this character to something more distinguishable, first by giving her this 'default look', and named her Luna. ( I don't remember why I called her that.) Now I am drawing her again, and I'm giving her last name Garnet, as some sort of closure to her identity, and also because I can.

I have distant plans on a personal serious story and she will be involved in it. But that is for another time in the distant future. (Because if it suck, then that story will never be told muahahah) Right now, Luna Garnet is just here, and I am very happy that I've drawn her better than all my previous attempts, and I hope to draw her more often in other dresses (because dress is awesome).

The anatomy actully pretty good, her right arm may be to short but nothing horrible. The flowy ness of the skrit turned out works quite well, the simple.sleek top and the bulkier bottom clothing wise works out quite well.

Sorry for the delayed response. Life has been keeping me busy.

I`m glad I could be of help. I`m always cautious when offering advice here, a lot of people just want compliments and fans rather then advice.

I'm always glad to receive feedback from others, it's like a whole new perspective thingy to ponder about, and also most importantly correcting mistakes! Sometimes while working on a piece the mistake can just be right there glaring back at me but I just don't see it Thanks again, until next time!

I'll be keeping that in mind as you post things then. I like finding other artist who are driven to improve.

I know what you mean about not seeing mistakes, it drives me mad how I'll be staring at something knowing something it's quite right then I post it and in 30 seconds someone will be able to see what's off. Fresh eyes and all that I guess.

Wow thanks I really appreciate it! Yep sometimes leaving a piece alone for a while and getting back to it an hour later helps a lot. Other times it's just me being inexperienced, so to speak, that I can't see it or pull it off.
