I think it´s obvious what I´ve been up to these last weeks, even if you didn´t read my journals on this topic.XDI´m in love with Pokémon Y and even though the game has it´s flaws, it is soooo addicting and fun to play.*sigh*
This is the team I used for my playthrough. It is heavily unbalanced and each member was pretty much chosen by their looks. Yes, I am that superficial. At least when it comes to pokémon.
Let me introduce to you:
Marlin, the greninja
water/dark type, male, bold nature
My starter, of course. What he lacks in attack, he makes up with his speed and special attack power. Also, why are so many people complaining about greninjas design? It´s a waterbending ninja frog, that can slap you around with his tongue. What more do you want?°3°
Pandora, the tyrantrum
dragon/rock type, female, impish nature
I´m so glad I picked the right fossil. A freaking badass t-rex with an ability that boosts it´s bite attacks. This thing deals out so much damage it is ridiculous. Whenever some opposing pokémon got on my nerves, I send this girl out to pulverize it. So satisfying.:´D
Laika, the furfrou
normale type, female, impish nature
It seems like everyone hates on furfrous, but I can´t imagine why. These guys are awsome! Thanks to her amazing ability Laika can take hits left and right and is still standing to strike back. I mean, she finished of the beastly megagyarados on her own, being on the same lvl and without me using any potions. Don´t mess with my beloved white fluffball. I´m serious.
Hel, the noivern
dragon/flying type, female, mild nature
I searched this dragonbat for so long... it´s sad they decided to put them at the end of the game. I´d have loved to travel kalos with her by my side. Well, at least the two of us wrecked the elite four together.XD
She is fast and has a good special attack stat. Once she had evolved and learned some good attacks, fights were pretty much childs play. She is the team leader and also all out offensive - with some nasty surprises for my opponents. Gosh, I love this dragon.;w;
Robin, the talonflame
fire/flying type, male, brave nature
I didn´t want to train a fletchling at first. But it sounds so cute and look at that adorable little birdception-eyes.QwQ
In the end I couldn´t resist, and I didn´t regret it. Robin was easy to train, is extremely fast and has a heavily offensive movepool. He is a great revenge killer and his flamebody saved me a lot of trouble during the game. Don´t just release the fletchlings you got through wondertrade. If they have a good nature, give them a chance.^^
Mephisto, the yveltal
dark/flying, neutral, gentle nature
Of course I had to put this amazing legendary on my team. It´s one of the most feared and destructive beings in pokémon history. And I can pet it and feed it little cupcakes.X3
Its special move is just awesome, with this badass animation and great added effect. Fighting with him was always fun and pretty easy, as long as there were no fairies around. Fairies are so annoying, hitting hard on almost anything on my team. No surprise I disliked them so much during my playthrough.XD
Now that I´m through with the game, I exchanged some of my teammembers to cover the obvious weaknesses. It´s so cool you can catch many of the old pokémon via safari or get them through wondertrades by some of the nicer players. Most only throw in tradefodder nobody wants and hope to get something good in return. They are leeches, nothing more.>:U

I used a simple round brush with a noise effect for these coloured sketches and also a watercolour layer-texture. If you are familiar with Paint Tool SAI you might know what I mean.XD

SAI is mainly meant to simulate traditional media, and it´s doing a fantastic job with that.

Noivern and Furfrou are my favourite Pokémon of this generation. I actually have bred shinys of these two, both female and most of the time on my wifi team. Believe it or not, my furfrou sweeps teams.X3

I only have found one in the wild so far, two if the friend safaris count as 'the wild'. The rest I have been breeding, trying to get the best possible nature and the best IVs. My shinies are Noivern, Absol, Yanmega, Furfrou (all bred), Nuzleaf (I traded it off for a shiny Skrelp 
Flygon is one of my favourite dragons ever. It comes close after Noivern.X3
I have bred one for my competetive team and even if it is not as strong as Garchomp or Dragonite, I´d always prefer it over those because of its lovely design. I still have to try out Dragalge, though. It has great typing and looks very pretty, especially as a shiny.

It took about 700 hours of gameplay to get the shinies I have now. During my artblock I was very frustrated and spent a lot of time gaming. But now that I have my motivation back my DS is catching dust. From one extreme to the other.XD

Sadly, I have no idea what my safari is!
And I'm not into competitive at the moment, having too much fun working on the shiny charm and wonder trading various bred things.

I completed the Dex recently, so I´m not really interested in trading or safaris (besides bug, I don´t have a single one of those) anymore. That´s why I´m filling the rest of my list with battlers.^^

I'm a little behind when it comes to the new pokemon, but I have to say, those look cool. For the most part I though that the designers just repeated the same patterns and the later were pretty boring as compared to the first and second generation, but the new one is kind of nice *,*

The designers are pretty creative considering there are more than 700 pokémon today and they are limited regarding creepiness and complexity. I like the later generations more than the first two, to be honest. The sixth and fourth generations are my favourites. In the fifth the designers went a little crazy and created some really dumb looking mons, but also some that are pure awesomeness.
If you have a 3DS, give the games a try. They are amazing - at least if you use the online features, too.^^

I guess it's just sentiment talking for me when I say I like the first one the most. Yeah, I think that some of the later designs are cool, but still xD I'm pretty attached to vaporeon, for example.

Once you´ve played on the 3Ds you don´t want to go back to the older versions anymore... these pretty graphics are addicting and make all those little monsters much more real.X3
I´ve had a vaporeon for a long time as a part of my competetive team, but now I switched out all of the overpowered pokémon in my team for... well, let´s call them underdogs. Nobody really expects those on a serious team and very few know what these pokémon are actually capable of. It´s always a great surprise when I can pull of a sweep with my furfrou, that is nearly always used as a defensive wall and for poisening or paralizing opponents. Seeing one actually deal out damage throws many people of guard.XD

Like you've mentioned somewhere, I'm pretty superficial too and go for the looks when choosing pokemons. But when it comes to choosing attacks I'm all for the offensive. I'm not the one for strategic fights, in any game. I just need a sword to slash everything in my way blindly

I´ve learned to value status inducing attacks. Especially Will-o-Whisp, which burns your opponent and deals out damage every turn to them as well als halving their attack stat. Right now there are some seriously overpowered pokémon roaming the online battle scene that can be rendered useless with just one little whisp. It´s deadly.
Otherwise I´m all for the offensive, too. That´s why I have a pokémon with not a single attacking move on my team. Doesn´t make sense, eh?XD But it´s there to boost its attack, defense and speed within just two turns by two stages - doubling each of these stats - and then pass these boosts on to a pokémon on my team that will take out my opponent with no problems at all. Playing competetively is all about predictions and strategy. That what makes it so much fun and nearly as challenging as chess.^^

Guess that´s why I´m so bad at jump´n runs or action based games in general. I need time to think and plan my moves or I´d just wildly press buttons and hope my opponent dies to some obscure reason. Maybe out of laughter.XD

When I was a kid, all the games I played needed short reaction span and skilled hands xD Not good at them anymore though, I guess children are a lot more skilled in those things. So mostly now I play in c-rpg games like Skyrim.

I always was abig fan of Tetris, Zelda and Pokémon. I also like other roleplay games, but most of the time they are round-based and leave the player as much time as they want to make a move. I mostly play on the DS/3DS now, since my PC is pretty old and to slow for most of the newer games.

There never were any particular games or series that held my interest for long, so I can't say I'm a fan of any. But there are a lot of titles that make me sentimental and trigger many fantastic memories

I remember playing this one football game that came with the NES with my brother when I was little. He always beat me in it, but we had lots of fun. Or Need for Speed 2 on our first family pc. You could use a cheat to replace your car with, for example, a wooden toilet-hut with a heart-shaped hole in its door, an old yellow school bus or a rotten tree trunk. It was hilarious.XD

Yeah, but these are all hacks, as far as I know and not intended by the makers of the game. The crazy vehicles in NfS2 were already within the program, you just had to unlock them with the right cheat. That makes them even more awesome.XD

War sicher nich zwingend leicht nur aus neuen pokemon ein gutes Team zusammen zu basteln (zumindest keins aus anständigen Pokemon und nicht aus rosa Feen).

Ich hätte schon noch mehr Optionen gehabt, aber es hat sich eben nicht so ergeben.^^
Ich wollte in jedem Fall Yveltal und Noivern im Team, dazu mein Starter und die letzten drei Plätze wurden dann von Pokémon gefüllt, die mir auf Anhieb gut gefallen haben. Ich hab ein Faible für Vögel, Drachen und alles, was plüscht. Ansonsten wären fast noch Vivillion, Dedenne oder Eguana im Team gelandet. Aber ich konnte mich von keinem meiner übrigen Teammitglieder trennen.;w;

I have an ice safari, so chances are you won´t get any of the pokémon you listed.
You should have a look at the GTS, there you can trade them as long as you offer something equally good/rare.

Mit den originalen Namen hab ich zwar noch so meine Probleme (französisch ist nicht so meins xD) aber das ist richtig schön gezeichnet. Ich spiele es jetzt auch bei einem Kumpel und dieser Pudelhund ist awesome! Keine Ahnung, warum ihn so viele nicht mögen, das was ich mir gefangen hab ist so ein krasser Tank. <3 Und ich mag seine Wuschelhaare.^^
Die Gen hat so einige coole Designs herbeigezaubert, schade, dass es nur so wenige sind. Und Yveltal ... schon als ich es das erste Mal gesehen habe, dachte ich mir nur zwei Dinge: das wird dein Lieblings-Legi-Design und ich feiere, dass es endlich mal keinen Drachentyp besitzt! xD Bin schon gespannt, wie es erscheint, ich weiche ja momentan allen Spoilern aus. xD

Es sieht total niedlich aus und hat meinem Team so oft den Allerwertesten gerettet... mit der massiven Schwäche gegen Feen und Eispokémon war Laika oft das einzige, was zwischen mir und einer Niederlage stand. Ein Glück ist sie so unglaublich zuverlässig.
Es wurden ja inwzischen drei neue Legendäre veröffentlicht, habe ich gehört. Außerdem wurden von Nintendo indirekt noch weitere Pokémon angekündigt. Die Spiele lassen sich ja übers Netz updaten, so dass sie nach und nach freigeschaltet werden könnten.
Dann werde ich dich auch nicht spoilern.^^

I would have Talonflame,but since I got Pigeot and Charizard,I didn't need him,but it seems he has a very good special attack.I liked furfrou,but I don't know why,I can't deal very well with normal type pokemons,I usually like water or electric types ^^

I´ve switched out most of my team members now, so my team is able to hold it´s own in online battles, but these guys will always be special to me.
Talonflame is more of a physical attacker, though. It learns a lot of physical attacks like flare blitz and brave bird, too. One brave bird is enough to do 60% damage to a dragonite with the multiscale ability. Holy cow.XD
Normal types are pretty good for online battles, since they only really have one weakness and often have great movepools. I´m in love with kangaskhan at the moment, this thing is an absolute beast even without the mega evolution. It won me an online battle yesterday, knocking out two of my opponents pokémon instandly. The poor guy didn´t stand a chance.

60% holy...man that's one strong Talonflame you got there XD - I usually like bird types,they're quite versatile for me,only weakness are electric and rock(I have a Pigeot,called Levi,in my team,actually)

I remember my very first pokémon, back in the red edition. It was a bulbasaur and boy, did that guy have to suffer from my stupidity.XD I only started to learn about typing after the elite four kicked my ass a dozen times or so.
Bird types are my absolute favourites, too.
I love their great variety, their good speed and looks. They have another weakness, though. The ice type. I usually have a dragon/flying type in my team alongside another bird.
The first one was knocked out with a fake out/earth quake combination, the second with outrage. Sadly my Hera couldn´t make a third k.o., because she only got the two turn rage and got confused. I had to switch her out, otherwise she´d have made a third k.o. right then and there. Her fourth move is a secret, though. It´s a nasty surprise for a lot of my opponents. I got another four wins today, mostly because of my beloved kangaskhan.

Ah,yeah,I had forgotten XD.Usually in my teams it's hard to use a dragon type,since I like to put the basic types,water,fire,electricity,flying,a dark or psychic one,and the last I hold for the legendary(Since I don't battle with other trainers,actually I'm waaay afraid of,usually they're like,level 70-90,and me 60-70,they can really kick my ass if they want to,hahah)
Outrage is a very good attack indeed,it injures a lot the foe.Heracross you mean?or another pokemon?Anyway,Kangaskhan seems a pretty good pokemon,that's why I'm afraid of playing it online XD

No, they won´t. There is a lvl 50 cap, so every pokémon above that level will be reverted to 50 during the battle.

Playing online is so much fun. Even if I lose, I´m learning a lot from the battles. My team went through a lot of changes this last few weeks, but I´m slowly getting were I want to be with my guys. I had a dozen wins with them this weekend and not a single lose in between. It´s just a matter of time, though, until I meet someone better than me again.

Ah,yeah,I found out trying one battle XD.But still,I'll evolve them to make their stats good,so that I can manage to win a least a few online battle c:.By the way,It's not very nice to use legendary pokemon in these kind of battle,isn't it?(I don't think is nice,since the person doesn't show the ability of growing your pokemon,I battled one that used Mewtwo...)
