Wow, the guy across the street from me (when I was a kid) bought this same car new, except it was yellow with a black ragtop (beautiful car). He got t-boned when pulling out of a restaurant, totalling it. He got it dragged home and parked it on his front lawn. It sat there for YEARS. In the meantime, one winter a snow plow creamed it (the nose was right next to the curb) and the following summer some kids vandalized what was left of it, smashing the windows, lights, etc. It still sat there for a couple more years, it was a neighborhood eyesore!

Not sure, but I think that might have been the case. After years of just sitting there, one day he went out there and cranked it a few times and it actually fired up!
