Did they flatten it? I know it became a bit of a hotspot for Urbexers at one point, but not sure what happened to it.

the former marconi works on new st is still there but in rather a bad state,as of yet its future remains uncertain
The only people interested in the actual place are Morrisons (supermarket chain) they also have their eyes on what used to be part of Anglian Ruskin University on victoria road south the site in question was part of their campus and before that housed the old library
As of now the campus (buildings) have now been demolished
the good news i have some record of how it was before the bulldozers moved in complete with metal fences hee hee.

i have never been inside the Marconi Works on New Street seeing that i live in Chelmsford but went down there and got lots of photos of the outside and at the back which is alongside Marconi Road

when i was looking at 28dayslater i noticed quite a few people had gone to the former new st works and had managed to get inside some thing i am still quite keen on doing but wondered would it be best meeting up as a group don't like the idea of getting stuck in there

only way.. I looked at PS a couple of times..and it might as well be written in Swahili.. I cant figure anything about it out.

this particular building was another former home for Marconi he had at least 4 or 5 sites located all over my home town

this is a photo from my home town where yet another development [link] will take place and is the former home for the chelmsford marconi works which was built in 1912 if you look at crompton house you will see these are listed buildings

i will be going back to these places which are going to be turned into offices/flats hotels just so that people can see say a before and after when you next have some free time have a look at old building as this forms part of a university which is no longer operational and is also due to be redeveloped too

that's what I intend to do that image you looked at (still standing)i took at least 50 photos of that building all from different angles including of what the place looks like now
