Oh gawd... Dante... before I go into raving fangirl mode, I'll try to critique it. You make it hard to give advanced critique, though. Everything is so perfect...
I think the hair could use a little more lineart/inking detail. The colouring is lovely, but without the same inking detail found in his coat and muscles, it doesn't quite match the rest of the picture's style (which has a nice gritty feel, great detail and a little loose; it really suits the subject matter). Maybe try adding some inking to the deeper creases of his hair?
His pinky finger looks very small in comparison with the rest of the hand. It may just be the perspective though. I love how you made his hand a bit bigger in relation to the rest of him. I'm a huge fan of proportionately larger hands on guys; it's just damn sexy.
I love the flaming background; the colours are beautiful and really help to set the mood. It's a little confusing about where the light is coming from, though. On Dante, the light source is coming from the front but there are flames behind him. It makes the character look pasted onto the background rather than part of the scene. It might be nice to add some back lighting and highlights from the flames. But this is such a great character study, I don't think it really needs it.
I adore his expression and pose; you've really captured his badass personality and confidant stride. The folds in his clothes and the way his shoulder is thrown forward really shows a lot of movement. That grin/smirk... Those muscles...
Okay, I can't help it... THIS IS SO FREAKIN' AWESOME! Dante is my favorite game character of all time... To see him portrayed so well is such a treat! I've got to go and play the games again... This is an instant

I'm horrible at drawing hands. To tell you the truth, the large proportions of it were a mistake. XD; But I realized that it sort of went well with the rest of the picture, so didn't bother doing anything about it in the end.

Wow, I love the wicked pose he has! I've never played the game, but from what I've seen, you got his personality down to a tee with this piece! Definately worth adding to my favorites!
