Description Group portrait for the Darksun Gestalt 5e campaign... Mantis the Kreen Bard/Mystic, Gigz the Kobold Monk/Paladin and Wrasslin' Gary the Halfling Wizard/Cleric
The campaign was built on the premise of trapping a Tarrasque and harvesting all its meat and organs for food and magicks in the Dark Sun wastelands.  Thousands of tons of flesh to sustain life for those that can keep it ensnared.

Darksun is definitely the place for tarrasque farming

sounds like www.saltinwoundssetting.com/ but on Athas, which could be cool.

Thank you!
I didn't know it was a fleshed out setting... I just saw a city map a year+ ago with a bound tarrasque.. so I ran with it for Athas.
This is going to be a fun resource!  thank you!
In the alternate-athas (alt-thas?) setting here, there's 7 cities so far with their own tarrasques at different levels of harvest.  Tarrasques are basically colossal ant eaters that eat people like ants (massive sticky flicky tongue and everything) each with their own unique problems.

thanks again for the resource link!

Not a problem! It's a cool location, and I thought of it when I saw your piece.

I wasn't accusing you of stealing - and if it seemed I might be, I apologize!! - but I'm glad that I recognized the inspiration and were able to connect you up with.

And wow, that's a terrifying thought, seven tarrasques. I play Pathfinder, where the Big T showing up is a Potentially End Of Civilization Event.

no accusation.  I'm thrilled the resource exists!  makes DMing a bit easier honestly.

it takes god-kings to bring them down.. but of course that doesn't actually KILL them, so lots of background threats.
Living Dungeons, extracting weird alchemical fluids, antibody defense measures unleashing hordes of oozes and aberations across campus, spontaneous regeneration trying to grow around the Axe Guild continuously severing the spinal chord to keep the thing down... FUN.

I am glad I was able to help a little.

And it sounds horrific. In the good way.
