Description spelled backwords is 'gody bog' a bog with all the characteristics of a god. .. sidetracked there, pardon me. this is dave being drawn by his mighty steed.. (actually, alissa's dog "nikita") we took her to the rock bend folk festival later that day.

It's creepy how much that looks like the development behind my house... But then they would all be the same, wouldn't they....
Anyways... I've done that with my dog. It's fun .

Surburbia. I like it.

Do you know the Bill Owens whose photo book named suburbia is a classic?

This reminds me of his work.

i have paged through it... the images tell great stories, but i'm mostly depressed by the concept of suburbia. there is a winogrand photograph that was taken on the edge of suburbia that i enjoy: [link]

photoart1 In reply to FigoTheCat [2005-09-17 07:10:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that a great winogrand image. When I look at that image I imagine its in Nevada
and in the distant you can see a nuclear test bomb going off. That's depressing.

Aww, nice. I love how happy the dog and the guy looks. The shawdows on the street look really nice. The neighborhood looks great too. The photo looks very peaceful and calm.

gracias. i hate the clone houses.. this is the result of urban sprawl on the edge of town.

i hate them too [i grew up i a couple of them], but i think they look "good" for photos. for some reason.

lord of dogtwon

i get the same feeling as the other british guy (or girl). surely a mass murderer dwells in one of those "edward scissorhands" houses

haha, more likely meth dealers and old people.

I love both of their poses - the dog loping gracefully along, and the guy bracing himself but managing to look perfectly casual about the situation.

great photo...I love it. To someone British like me, it looks like creepy American suburbia but thats what appeals to me, plus the shadows are so fantastic, it's practically perfect

the housing style is outlandish even to me this is a section of mankato hit by urban sprawl... we joke about being invaded by the clone houses... a mass produced, treeless place.. eugh so i know where you're coming from.

My dog's a northern sled dog breed too, and she does that all the time. When I take her for a walk, it's time to don the roller blades. Excellent shot, made me smile.

it probably is considering she's an Austrailian Shepherd... herding dogs to pull they chase. *laughs* she's one good frizbee dog though
