I draw them for later use, I currently work as a mechanical designer for games and anime, when the hirer wants something, I show them my portfolio of sketches and let them pick one to start with.

Actually. the fuselage looks enough like a flying boat hull that all you'd need to add is a set of retractable pontoons to the wing tips.  Classic 80's anime design.
