Do you think you could put together a step-by-step of how you get this? I love how it's both messy and precise. Like, do you start with all the broad fuzzy strokes or with some of the fine stuff? And is there a type of brush you favor for this?

You are right, I start messy and then get to details. I use mostly mixer brush in photoshop and normal brush for sharp details.
