"Cause I just can't find the strength to hold you up and keep you taut..."
;Imogen Heap

"Hauntingly beautiful" has got to be the best way I've seen that song by Imogen Heap described. The video did an amazing job to capture that and, after watching it a few times, I found myself completely enticed and inspired to create a piece based off of it's sort of 'empathetic void'.

I wanted to not only represent the snow, but the sort of 'frozen in time' feel that the video gave off, although I found painting a piece would suffice for a frozen feel in itself.

Still working and testing different coloring styles until I find one that's fast enough and clean enough for my tastes. This one actually was much easier then I was expecting it to be, and it's a little more forgiving then the heavy "dodge and burn" theory I was using before, but just as fast. :3 I can also use the dodge and burn tools to compliment this style much easier. For once I am really really proud of the result, this piece will be like my unborn child until I create something better in the future. xD

Oh and original size is 4146 x 2028 so again, be careful with the download button if you're on a lower-end computer. Wallpaper sizes are available upon request.

This is definitely my favorite of your coloring styles so far, it really accents the folds and gives a sense of roundness of the objects in the picture.
Her expression is wonderful. She portrays her feeling through more than just her eyebrows.
The picture looks very surreal and the background helps accomplish that.
One thing, I don't know if you've tried it or not but if you had lighter lines. I find that lighter lines gives you more leeway when lines get messy so you don't have to be as finicky as you are and for such a soft piece I think it would complement it nicely, especially with how her nose and mouth are shaped without the aid of lines.

Haha, yeah lighter lines could've helped some in some areas, but I don't think I'm quite good enough with color to let them go yet. xD Lineart is kinda what I'm best at I find, so going without it is a weird break. I should try a piece without it sometime though, thanks for the heads up.

Well you don't have to remove the lines or anything just go into adjustments and change the hue/saturation. Then you could just lighten them or something. But it would be cool to see a piece without lines....although that's so friggin hard Dx
