This, is just amazing, and feels too good to leave it at that so let me just babbel a few things.
The art work on Velvet herself is just about perfect. The color of her coat, her cutiemark, and expression all fit amazingly. The detail on her mane and tail clearly took a boat load of time, which partially explains the lack of background. Despite the mostly drab background you have an awesomely done sunrise with fantastic lighting effects. The mostly dull back ground with the sun light help show off the main part of the picture, Velvet herself.
this is amazing, awesome work that im gonna add to my DESKTOP downloads folder so that it can pop up every now and then with all the rest of my fave art work. You did amazing, and thank you for sharing it with us all.

"Good morning Little Pip" Velvet Remedy softly said to the sleepy mare.
"Huh? V-velvet? How long you've...." the short gray mare said while rubbing her eyes before cut short by the spectacle it was offered before her eyes.
"Slept well?" she asked her. But the mare remained silent, with that empty gaze in her direction. "Little Pip? Hello?"
"Huh? W-what?" she snapped out of her reverie.
"Did you sleep well?" she asked her again.
"Wha... I'm still not dreaming?" she quickly retorted, confused.
"Huh?" the charcoal mare said in confusion. "What do you..."
"Wait!" she cut her while raising a hoof. "Yeah. That's definitely not a dream."
"How so?" she questioned her friend.
"Well... Um. First, you would be covered in sweat."
"Ewww!" she said with a grimace.
"And secondly..."
"Don't you dare finish your sentence!" she quickly cut her off with frown.
"What? Each pony its dream." she said with a grin, before yawning.
"If princess Luna were again of this world, I bet she would never had to visit you."
"Heh. Maybe she would. Just by curiosity, to take a peek of mares having a good time." she told her with a grin.
"Very funny." she retorted flatly.
"And maybe she would even take taste to my personal show." she continued.
"Stop it, Pip. I mean it." she told her with a serious tone, while standing up.
"And... Do you know if she could interact with the ponies whom she visit...?"
Velvet gave her a slap to the face. "Don't you dare mock her and soil her image into your pervert fantasies! We would be so much happier if the royal sisters were alive!" she shouted at her, angry. Pip, remained silent.
"Don't you think I don't know that?" she replied quietly. "I would give away all of my wet dreams for a single visit from her."
Velvet snorted. "For a nice little "moment" with her?"
"Yeah." she told while staring in her eyes.
"Pip. Don't you..." Velvet said irritated.
"So she would get rid of my nightmares." she cut her off with sad face, which shocked the singer. "I need those fantasies of mine. They are getting fewer and fewer. They remember me that despite all the killing I've done... I... I still wish for close contact with ponies and..." Velvet took her into a embrace. "What are you..."
"Shhh. I'm so sorry Little Pip. I.. I didn't know..." she told her with a sad and concerned tone.
At this moment, Calamity appeared, surprising them. "Good morning ladies, how was your...." he told them before Velvet looked a him. "Huh. What's happen-"
"Can you get the breakfast ready Calamity? We are..."
"Uh, breakfast is already ready." he retorted.
"Oh. Good. We'll see you there, then. We are having a... moment now. Okay?" she told with with a soft voice. Calamity simply nodded and left.
"Mares. Always so emotional. I swear I saw tears in Velvet's eyes. What Little Pip told her again?"

Happy to know that you enjoyed it. I read FA:E months ago. It's a must. So I knew that Pip always had attraction for Velvet and had nightmares and something about Luna.
