Inspired by and drawn for *Straywolf59 's journal -> [link] , who brought to my attention arial wolf hunting (I knew about hunting wolves in general, for a sport, and it's really wrong. I just didn't know about airial hunting). That vid made me cry, it's really upsetting that people can just go out and take an animal's life- just for fun. I'm not against all hunting, I don't mind hunting in general- it's the "sport" that is retarded. I know my uncle hunts deer, but mainly for food. He won't overhunt, and people who do- are just messing up our ecosystem.
Wolves are on the endangered list, I'm pretty sure it's outlawed anyways, I hope everyone one of you scumbags who hunt wolves rot in jail.

About the pic, my first time drawing little tiny pups, I hope they look ok. And I think I put the bullet wound too high, I know I did, because it would have hit the spine there and the wolf wouldn't be able to walk at all. So just pretend it's a little lower, but she is ment to be paralysed somewhat. And it was an arial shot- so the wound went through her gut. Merf, enough about that.

There is nothing wrong with wolf hunting and they are NOT endangered. Save your beath for REAL endangered animals that really need help. Like amur leopards, tigers, african wild dogs, ect.

False. Wolves have ever so recently, become endangered which is to me,
pathetic, shameful, and unforgivable. We don't even eat them. 58% of wolves are killed and stuffed to be used as
statues in homes or are killed to win money.
Killing for there fur to make warm blankets is one thing but decorations is pathetic. If you disagree
that's fine, we all have opinions but sometimes an opinion can be offensive to some people.

Exactly. Just went on my first hunt, got nearly 20 squirrels, a couple rabbits, and a duck. I'll be moving on to big game, soon.

I'm against the killing of animals for entertainment, but to put it gently- Conservation is about wildlife management and control, not "fun".

That's exactly how I feel! I'm glad there's someone out there that realizes that wolves aren't trophies, or "just animals" -- they're living creatures that deserve the same respect as you and I.
And thank you for raising awareness to this problem, you're doing a really good thing and I hope it inspires more people to do the same.

I really like the picture though, it's very emotional and brings to life just how vulnerable those tiny pups are...you made them so tiny and helpless - very nicely done.

I'm with you on the whole 'hunting is fine if you use what you kill', sport is just WRONG. It's a problem here in Scotland because once the wolf was wiped out the red deer population grew out of proportion and they're now effectively destroying their own ecosystem by eating saplings etc. And even though we legally cull about 500 a year, it makes little difference.

Yeah, it's rediculous how many deer are hit because the population is booming. Throws the whole ecosystem off, like you said. One thing I thought was hunting wolves was illegal, at least in the states. I guess not Alaska though.

Aerial hunting is extremely cruel. The wolves aren't even expecting it until they are hit and it's too late. Quite sad.
It reminds me a little bit of my comic (there's aerial hunting involved).
As for the picture, beautifully done and it gets the message across.

I really, really hate hunting for "sport", regardless of the teqnique used. [though I must say that aireal killing is by far the worst] It's a cruel, worthless, and downright disgusting thing. And, as a therian, I feel like I'm watching my brothers and sisters being slaughtered...
I've had a sketch of an anti-wolf hunt/anti-land harvesting pic in my sketchbook for a while. I'm definatly going to finish it and cast in my two cents.

I watched that video... D: I was sick to my stomach. To think people would do that. I'm not against hunting or anything. Though I do think people should only hunt for food, not just for fun. It's kind of wrong. >.< But considering deer population is booming...

That's exactly how I feel. This is my first time living in the north with all these deer, and I see a great number dead on the road. Maybe if these poachers didn't hunt before there would still be wolf packs in the north east, and divers wouldn't have to worry so much about hiting any deer. Or all the geese that had to gas in North Park, for that matter. -.-
