Lol it is said in our description that it is our vision of a viking helm helm and since we are fantasy leather crafters we love putting fantasy stuff on our creation.

Hate to break it to you, but this is very inaccurate. No culture ever had horns on their helmets. That is pure Hollywood and the reason Vikings (at least) are depicted as so barbaric is because the only remaining written documents about them were written by people in England at the time they were being raided. The Vikings wrote down next to nothing, and most of anything they did write is either too disintegrated to read or was burned at the funerals. There is very little left of what they wrote. Most of that is in Denmark, so even less in Norway and Sweden (and Finland too since it did have Vikings; just not as many so it wasn't considered a "Viking nation").
Also, the detail is much to intricate and fancy to be Viking. Even those in the upper-class did not have that.
My roommate/best friend is studying to be an archaeologist who studies Vikings.
But on the bright side, it is an AWESOME helmet!! I really do like it

I agree about the inaccuracy of the horned helmet, but its not purely hollywood. The caricature of vikings with horned helmets come from an attemt to rise the spirit of nationalism in sweden, where, depicting the vikings with horned helmets to make them look more fierce. Or so I've been taught most my life.
Most writings about the vikings(mostly the Rus people) considered accurate are from Ahmad ibn Fadlan, an arab traveller and author. There was a lot of trade with the middle east.

To be historically correct the vikings didnt really have horns on their helmets, but this is mighty.. I love the buck-like horns, and i love the design! Well done!

the horns are way to big to be Viking horns, other than that it's pretty good.

I think it's just meant to be stylised... Viking helmets didn't actually have horns, so any horn would be too big. XD

It's beautiful....
I did think of Skyrim when I first saw it, but it also made me think of World Of Warcraft with the amount of detail in it.
That's what I like about it. It just has an UNREAL amount of detail. I know it is real, but the detail makes you wonder if it isn't. It simply looks epic, and looks like it could go great in a popular video game! >:3
