1) Do not merge background layer with character layer.
2) Clean up rough sketch before coloring will save 4 hours of time.

Nice looking picture and good that you put out those lessons there, I guess for your own and for everyone else as reminders too ^^. The background's lower part seems bit abstract to me though, I mean that green area between both guys, is it the chairs still? Well in any case already despite that I might not get it all the way I do like this one in overall way

It's a lil abstract because I can't edit much after merging the layers up and such. It'd mess the main characters.
