I first want to start by thanking @Advisorium for making this really cool piece revealing both my primarchs face, as well when he first meets his primaris sons. Here is a little lore piece to go with the art work.

They day had been long, and the battle had been longer and it came with a great loss to the Sacred Wardens legion. Over the course of a month and several large battles with the Tau, the legion has suffered close to two hundred dead or wounded legiares. This came at an ill time for Alric and his legion, for the Cicatrix maledictum had cut the galaxy in half and made it harder than ever for Alric to return home and replenish the twelve hundred marines that act as his “chapter” while he conducts campaigns within the gaze of the inquisition.

By some stroke of good luck or misfortune, the Lord Commander of the imperium had learned of this mysterious chapter and had sent it reinforcements in the form of primaris marines and the means to make more. It was in the closing days of the bloody Hyran's Paradise campaign, that those reinforcements arrived in the Hyran system. The primaris marines were escorted by five Adeptus Custodes, who were also charged by the Lord Commander to deliver a personal summons the chapter master.

After spending some time talking with the adeptus custodes shield captain, Alric beckoned the primaris captain Theliel Battleseeker and his squad mates the primaris lieutenant Aethaen Ashborn as well as companies primaris ancient standard bearer Anvoron Dragonhand to meet with him a discuss their integration into the “chapter” and its command structure.

As the primaris command squad approached Alric and his honor guard, the primaris marines all noticed that Alric was far larger those marines around him as well that he also towered over even them as well.

As the primaris closed the gap, Alric turned to face them as he did all but two of them drop to their knees. Alric looked around and sighed, this happens every time he has taken off his helmet whether it be from battle damage or him trying to show the person the respect, they are due and it annoys him every time. If these primaris marines are truly his sons, then they more than anyone should not be kneeling before him.

“Rise my sons, the trials you have endured to become my space marines have more than earned you the right to stand in my presence! And I would not have you kneel before me, though you may be untested in my legions ways you are still of my blood.”
