I have a theory that Blueblood is unable to use magic, which would add another dimension to his character.

Oh pffft, what's the worst that could happen? I remember a young colt in his hooves, always seeking attention. Founded his own empire he did, built the most impressive castle he could, all for Celestia's sake. She never noticed him of course, but that just made him work twice as hard.
Never did find out what young Sombra did with his life, but I'm sure it was impressive.

This were it really makes me feel that that the univers just hates blueblood and some other characters in mlp. How do we know his character. All we know is that he acted like a snob. Unfortunately they did the same thing what they did to gilda. I agree why hasn't anyone thought that blueblood was doing this for attentionΒ

He was only ever designed to be a one dimensional character, not even important enough to get a plot. Like Gilda, or Sombra. (Of course he did get another appearance with Rarity, so maybe things worked out.)

I wouldn't say he's one dinensional, actually. Perhaps that was the intention, but then you compare him to a character like say, Shining Armor, who plays practically every stereotype to a T that Blueblood successfully subverts. At least Blue's got the irony thing going for him. And then you ask yourself why he's like that, and theeeerre's where you get a lot more depth.

Shining armor is hilarious. Did you see the comic story? (Ok, he's the captain of the guard, ruler of the crystal empire... let's make him a D&D nerd too!)
The problem Blueblood faces is the intention. He's not a 'serious' character. There's no plans for him, same goes with Gilda. But there's hope; Trixie was the same but fan pressure got her her own episode. (You may notice the 'utterly humiliated and forced to slave on a rock farm' plot from many fanfics.) So maybe he'll get a mention.
With the 'rich snob' archetype I think we're generally supposed to believe that they're that way because they're rich\popular. You see the character a lot in entertainment. The popular girl, the jock, the rich middle aged CEO. They're there to confirm what we all know to be true, that rich\popular people aren't better than us, they're elitist jerks. It's a pity, but most people don't look for depth in that.

Okay I get the whole one dimentonal triat thing. Trixie was suppose to be a show off character that need to put her a sock in it, but they reform her just put her in the equestria girls movie. I don't get is why did thy reform discord?
π: 0 β©: 1
Ziblink In reply to Deltaonslot [2014-03-08 02:00:10 +0000 UTC]
The reason for both was that they were popular characters. Trixie's reformation followed a popular fanfic plot. (I imagine they 'nursed back from the brink of death by Twilight' plot was too iffy for the show.) Discord's reformation was also useful to the staff since they wanted a character that was good...ish but still capable of doing things like unleashing vines over all of Ponyvile.
I would imagine Gilda would be up next for a reformation, she's still quite popular.

True. Maybe that's why people make fan fictions right. Right now I'm making a Blueblood fan fic.

Fanfics arise for one of two reasons; the first is that the canon was inspiring, that it made the author want to answer the questions that were not answered in the source, to explore new worlds there or ask 'What if...?' This is the best kind.
The second reason is that the source was objectionable to the author and they wish to 'correct' a percieved flaw or right what they see to be an injustice. This tends to produce poor quality work.
I will be interested in seeing your fic.

Twilight is Celestia's student.
Blueblood is her family.
...Something is very, very wrong in the royal family.

What'd you expect?
Celestia ignore her sister's emotion until the point of Luna turning into Nightmare Moon... Sometime I wonder, can't she see what she's doing to Blueblood??
Good thing Blueblood isn't a powerful alicorn or he'll be another Nightmare Moon!!!

Rarity didn't need to be powerful or an alicorn to become Nightmare Rarity, if you go by the comics.
Blueblood here, surrounded by powerful alicorns and arguably a bone to pick with his 'family', would practically leap at a temptation like that, just to even get them to look at him for once.

I've read something similar. A short little scene a few days after the Gala, wherein Celestia tries to reach out to him and he pushes her away. It was strongly implied that he used Rarity to get back at both Twilight and Celestia passive-aggressively.
Particularly interesting was that, right afterwards, Luna shows up to confront him, sensing that his pain was similar to the one she suffered before becoming Nightmare Moon.
Either way, your picture gets the point you are making across very well!

It's a little further down, by a poster named The Great Derpsby. If the link doesn't work, I can copy the text instead. It's not long, only 500 words or so!
