Hello DeviantArt,This is my take on a redesigned Youtube website, the goal was to make it look more like an app, taking heavy inspiration from the Google+ design and the new functionalities introduced in the leaked "official Youtube redesign".
The elements on the sidebar are retractable to achieve minimal distraction when needed, adding social updates to Youtube its a great way to explore and find new content but can result in a very cluttered feed. Adding a toggle to the UI solves this problem.
Incorporated the most used functions to the header (Home, Upload, Browse, Favorites, Liked) plus the always omnipresent search bar.
The complete project took around 24 hour of creative time, basically 2 days of work.

Definitely like yours better than the original new theme. I like their overall design direction, but my main gripe with the new one is that it seems a little too condensed. I like that there's lots of white space with yours, and that you've added a few new features for convenience. Good job!

Thats what it was suppsed to look like it's a little better then the one they have now but seriously thats confusing me. Why doen't they just leave it alone.

Way better than the original, i saw the new theme but it sucks, it seams a facebook wanna be and it doesn't allow you to remove the seen videos, it sucks : \
