I drew this sketch of Iroh with Yuji and Kiwa (the fanchildren I made up for Zuko and Jin, in my ATLA fanwork AU) in a notebook one day last month, during a lull at work. Decided to finish it up into something nice.

I know I've proably harped on this to death already, but I am so in love with the idea of Iroh getting to play and cuddle with Zuko's child(ren), and be a very present part of their life(lives), and I'm honestly sick that nothing in the canon deals with this. It especially upsets me that that new book of Iroh's memoirs, "Legacy of the Fire Nation"--as beautiful as it looks--purportedly (from what previews I've seen so far, and posts I've read on the "korranews" Tumblr blog as a guest: korranews.com/post/19004100094… korranews.com/post/18978251924… ) does not even show Zuko's canon child, Izumi, in it, despite being set many years in the future after ATLA's story.

Sooooo yeah, here's my personal way of coping with that. I also am pretty much determined to try to view all of the #GrandpaIroh fanfics and fanart by other folks on the internet at this point (regardless of whether the kid[s] are Izumi or fanmade, and regardless of who their mother is)!
