My main characters for Phobia, my child, my project. Steal it and I'll promise to get you sued and beaten up..As you can almost imagen, are these people showing off their phobias, making them real, and having a 15feet tall monster who obeys all your wishes as long as you can face your own fear... is pretty usefull.. whooppaa design core.
Use your fears, nightmares and phobias as weapons, whould you abuse them or try to escape them?
Example... The chuppy spikehaired guy with monster hands; was at age 12 taken to a demostration by his older brother, the demostration went wild and police had to release the hounds. two of them took down the kid, who tried the best he could to damge the dogs and even poken an eye on one of them. They went beserk on him and ripped his hands appart with their yaws.. He lost 8 of his fingers..
Eversince he had dog phobia, and when these powers awaken in him, two giant deformed dog heads appear from his arms ready to attack any treath.'

I can see, besides the fear of Dogs you pointed out; Fear of Blood (or Maybe Hospitals), Fear of Fire, Fear of Insects, Fear of the Devil, Fear of the dead, and fear of dolls. Mind telling me which, if any, I got right?

You realize that thousands of other people have the same idea(s) that you do, no? We may all be different people, but we all have one thing in common. Human nature. Also, the culture we live in is conducive to certain ideas. I know at least two people (not including myself) who have expressed ideas uncannily similar to this, and I am certain that they did not steal them from you, as I have had similar ideas to this years before I saw this picture by Googling "FACE ATTACK FEAR AWAKEN" on Google images, and years before I was aware your Deviantart account existed. I came across this image/your account at 7:24 PM on March 25th, 2011.
I am not stating this to be hostile or antagonize you, I am simply letting you know that if someone else publishes art, with characters that have βphobias,β or something similar, in it, to not claim that they copied you, or try to sue them.

I really like the originality of your idea. The characters are all unique. I like the bottom left corner, the girl with the black skull thing. Which phobia is that? I'm thinking she's afraid of the dark or sumthin' like that. ;}

I have a question;
if they learn to face their fears, summoning the monsters in the process, then in time, they will lose their fears? Ergo, does their monsters' powers get weaker.
I love the concept though, been flippin' through your gallery for the good of thirty minutes.

sounds like an interesting idea for a game
are the phobias gonna be triggered by the player's environment?
like if theyre walking through a dark place for too long then it triggers the darkness phobia
likewise, if they see too much blood it triggers that sorta phobia, and so on
or are they gonna be completley controllable?
i dunno wether you hadnt already thought of this, but you could incorporate the idea that if the player uses one of the phobias too much then it becommes too familiar with the character nd it ceases to be a phobia meaning they cant use it anymore
similarly, the less they use a power, the more of a phobia it is, making it more powerful nd uncontrolable or something
i dunno

Wow...I wish I could have thought of this
I had a similiar idea for one of my stories I was writing...tried to draw the creatures too. But mine were based off of mental illnesses/disorders/states...with Phobia being its own creaure. Problem was, alot of the creatures took a little too much interpretation to figure out what they were suppose to be. Oh, & they were all created by one person, a little psycic girl who went insane.
But yea. I wish I would have had this idea for her creatures! I've been thinking of redesigning the concept from the ground up...I already drew the girl who created them...I was thinking of making my own batch of phobia-themed creatures to replace the ones I had since I saw this...that or seven based of the 7 deadly sins. Would you mind if I used your idea? I'll give credit. :]
Oh yea, & I read in one of your comments you intended to make this into a game...do you mean like a videogame? That would be awesome, do you really have the resources to get it done? I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it were for the PC or PS2, (or PS3 if it ended up on that.) I wanted to make my story into a videogame too...but I don't think I have the resources to have it done. :[

Awesome concepts!
Here's an idea, I was wondering how would you depict agoraphobia (open spaces, crowds or leaving a safe place), claustrophobia(closed confined spaces), acrophobia (heights), chronophobia (time), catoptrophobia (mirrors), ligyrophobia(loud noises)... it's maybe too abstract, and would maybe result in clean, architectural design... and it's not quite your style...
And here's a few, that you, might, find inspiring:
insectophobia - insects (duh)
lepraphobia- fear of leprosy
microbiophobia, bacillophobia- fear of microbes
ophthalmophobia- fear of being stared at
odynephobia- pain
melanophobia- fer of the color black
metallophobia- fear of metal
myxophobia- slime
odontophobia- teeth, dental surgery
and the one that' ll myabe add a different dimension to your series:
phobophobia- fear of phobias

you probably hear this all the time but I just had to tell you that I think you are so awesome! I love your style and all of your other pieces in your gallery and this one is .... I just..... *sigh* (tear) .... I cannot put it into words other than to use vague and broad terms like amazing and beautiful, when they really don't mean anything. Genius. Pure freaking genius. Maybe I can use some imagery? Okay, here goes: You are Persephone, queen of the underworld and all things dark and strange. You have at your command shadows and the creatures of the subconscious. You make them dance on the page an arcane dance that one finds all at once breathtaking and inspiring and at the same time unsettling. Your works(and especially this one) are the types of images that are seared into the mind and stay with you, haunting you when you're alone and tormenting you while you sleep. If art is like the conscious and subconscious making love and then giving birth, then this piece is the best kind of sex there is. No, not the rough or dirty kind. No, not dry humping either. The kind of sex where the passion between them(the two involved) is almost like a living breathing thing. When you take a pencil in your hand(or paintbrush; whatever you use) you have the power to destroy the world and make the souls of the dead scream; and your skilled control and utilization of that power fills me with awe.
How was that? Ya, you probably could have done without that little bit about sex, but I sort of believe that. Art is a bridging of a gap, a coming together of the unknown parts of ourselves. Not only does art show them coming together, but they dance. What better image to describe that then sex, right? I mean, when you bear your true self or someone sees who you really are, people describe that as feeling naked. Well, what kind of dance do you do naked with your alter-ego?

i got some ideas for phobias:
--Motorphobia the fear of vehicles, where the person can control vehicles and make them like run over people or make the vehicles look all deformed and scary
--Acousticophobia the fear of noise, the person has some monster that has these huge gaping jaw, the monster could breath in a glass shattering blast of sound rushes out its
interior, and create audio hallucinations like mimic voices and other sounds, and holes all over its skin that ripples when it attack with sound
--Aichmophobia the fear of pointed objects, a grey skinned monster with blades, needles, and stiches all over its body, it can make needles come out of its body, and has a blade coming out of its head that can bend, stretch and attack opponents
