Here's a little something I did when I was bored over the weekend
Based off of ITV's new adaptation of the Jane Austen book Mansfield Park Wasn't too bad of a film but could have been better

I didn't like the changes they made to Fanny's character in that, or the way they made Thomas Bertram and the father kind of slave-driving perverts.

I know what you mean...that one did have loads of changes, many of which I disliked. But I think the reason I like that one more is because I love who they cast as Fanny and Edmund. Nothing against the casting in this movie, I just like that Fanny and Edmund better than these.
Also, I think the whole time I was watching this one I kept thinking...Mr. Elton...Mr. Elton...!! Because this Edmund is Mr. Elton in the newish Emma movie. So I had that annoying personality in my head the whole time I watched him, even though he totally wasn't acting that way.
But slavery was kinda sorta big in the book...maybe not the pervert part...haha. I don't remember. I'll have to reread it sometime I guess

True, though since I'm OCD when it comes to book adaptations, I never imagined Fanny as a brunette so that threw me off.. but the actor who played Edmund did do a good job. 
Maybe it was, but I don't think they had an entire sketchbook of slaves being tortured and raped in the book.

I know! Mr. Knightley = Edmund...?? It was so weird! There're so many repeats in Jane Austen movies, it seems...
Now I remember that. Eek. Yeah, so that was just for drama, I guess. They made a lot of the drama in that movie crazy. Like the affair that everyone just heard about (or something) Fanny walked right in on!! Maybe they were just trying to make it super-exciting, and more people-pleasing, rather than fan-pleasing. Maybe I should just become a director so I can do JA novels how I want to

yeah this is that version of Mansfield Park I have seen.
The actress playing Fanny was getting so much on my nerves. Could have been better indeed.

I didn't mind her too much. She was a bit more shy than the other version of her.
They just need to do a better adaptation of the novel!

Billie Piper just does NOT work as Fanny for me. Of course, I've not seen this version, but that's pretty much why. Nice wallpaper, though
