It's... confusing, lol. Sharks technically don't have a penis at all - they have two claspers which transfer the semen, but they're not... called penises....?
I don't know - realistically, sharks and dolphins can't mate (obviously), so you kinda just have to suspend reality here.
Originally, when Mizuko wasn't in the picture, it was decided that Rin's the "mom" of the twins because of the whole "no penis" thing.
Buuut... with Mizuko, we wanted her to be a merdolphin, so we kinda let Haruka be her "mom"... don't think about it too hard.
Maybe someday we'll come up with a logical explanation for all this, but for now, that's what we have!

I'm kind of wondering how Zuka fell asleep while swimming. Β I feel like it would be the same thing as falling asleep while running, which sounds impossible. Β I'm overcomplicating things, of course haha.Β
Loving how Mizuko is on her father's shoulder and how proud Rin and Haruka look as parents. Β Parenthood suits the two quite well, I think. Β I also see that Rin has grown out his hair a bit. Β I think he looks adorable. Β :3
