Neato. It has that lacquered finish so critical to the look of their armour.

where can I find a tutorial that will be beneficial to me so I can finally make half masks. i already have an idea on what the mask material is made of...but i'm still unsure about the molding process

The molding process will depend entirely on the final mask material. If you want I can help you. Tell me about your plan and we can take it from there.

alright, i would like it to be a wearable half mask (just like this one) but I plan on making it to look like a lower half of a skull (so a lower jaw)

I would like to cast it in epoxy as right now I'm really clueless on where to start and i'm really afraid of buying all these materials from smooth-on if I'm not 100% sure of what i'm doing, this is why i'm constantly asking if anybody has a good directional guide (or willing to give me a walk through) so I don't mess things up and end up financially in a big ditch

any and all advice is highly appreciated

Do you have a life cast of your own face yet?

I will be following this to hopefully gain insight as well. Making masks would be marvelous to get into. Do you have to have a cast for each face you are creating a mask for or can you do a more generic one size fits all?

I generally build my masks on a lifecast of my own face unless a woman's proportions are needed.  My head/face is fairly large so I can usually be assured that it will fit most adult men if not most women.
