i use the wacom bamboo tablet, really cheap but not very big at all.. still gets the job done though. Um, I'd say i start off with a sketch and sometimes i would draw some shapes that depict the "highlight area" or "shadow area" so i know later on when colouring. Then i do the "base colouring" just the basic colouring you would do, with no major highlights or shadows, just midtones. And after that the shadows then highlights pretty much. Search for miketartworks (Mike Thompson) he had a tutorial on a Snoop Dogg painting which is pretty amazing. Hope that helps

thanks!! that helps alot, i was skeptical about the bamboo tablets, but if you can get those results with it, it'll be just fine for me!! and do you by any chance have any advice for how to do vector art?? i saw your kid cudi one, and it was crazy dope.

yeahh it should be fine if you dont have the money to spend on something more expensive. Vector art um I havent really done much to really help you good. I do remember that there were a bunch of helpful tutorials on deviantart and you can definitely google some good ones as well. Those should be a good start for you
