Thank you for adding blood. It always gives more life to an artwork.

I loved this part. It made me really appreciate how badass Samus is, to the point that she doesn't need her armor.

It's actually nice to see this suit in its proper context rather than just as a 'fanservice' excuse. The coloring is nice and the pirate looks good.

That Zebesian looks pretty dangerous...awesome work on this. I love this epic part of the game.

I haven't played Zero Mission (although I cut my teeth on classic 8-bit Metroid), but I would imagine there's a moment when you get your suit back that's a little like the fiendish cackling I started doing in Prime 3 right around the time I got the X-ray visor and realized that I could snipe pirates' tender vitals right through their armor now.
Scared my fiancee.

Oh yes, after getting a brand spankin' new Power Suit (a Gravity Suit, even!) which can actually utilize the Plasma Beam and Space Jump you had acquired earlier (your old suit couldn't use them), I let loose on the Space Pirates with fiendish glee. Until I came to the Black Pirates, and then I was like, "Well damn, you actually take effort to kill. I'm just going to Screw Attack over you and go through this door here."

Huh. So there's items you pick up in Zero Mission that you can't use until the after-the-end new content? I'd be pretty irritated about that.

Yeah. You get them, and they show up as "Mysterious Item" or something to that effect, and then it tells you that it's not compatible with your current suit (meaning the Power Suit Mother Brain created specifically for Samus, which gets destroyed after Samus's ship is shot down by Space Pirates). It's just Space Jump and the Plasma Beam, I believe.

ILU, for this picture, because that was my favourite part of Metroid Zero Mission, I think because I found it neat that the pirates actually chased you with some kind of intelligence. Or I'm just weird.

Thanks. And yes, I found this part stressful--it was the second video game to make me cry from sheer frustration (sandwiched nicely between Zelda II: Adventure of Link and Metroid Fusion).
