Description Another earrings, one of my favourite, byzantine weave, swarovski & hammered wire
These were made for a very dear person, wife-to-be of one of my very best friends.

Wow, these are stunning! I adore that byzantine weave! What size jump rings did you use? They look tiny! Gosh.. I really wish I had my ears pierced now to wear earrings as beautiful as these, these would be amazing to wear. I love the added touch that the hammered strips of silver give - lovely work!

ID was 2.6mm (wire diameter is .8mm) so they were a bit tiny, but I like a tighter weave, especially for byzantine.

Wow, 2.6?! Thats tiny! I was so inspired by this piece I tried out byzantine weave myself.. its a hard technique! I used 6mm rings, I struggled! It looks beautiful though, definitely <3

Why so surprised? Once you get the hang of it, byzantine is really easy to do - that must be my favourite weave, along with box weave (its cousin ) And when you get the hang of it, you'll want to go smaller and smaller cause it looks even more intricate! Happpppy chainmailling!

Well.. I'm surprised cause it just seems impossible that you could even work with such small think links! XD But like you say, once you get the hang of it, its not too bad so.. I guess its all just a case of practice! It does look a lot more attractive and intricate with the smaller links, I agree <333

I will I will I made a pair of earrings as my first try with the byzantine technique, I hope to post a deviation with them on tonight, but it depends if the pictures on my camera are good enough. I hope so!
