Oh, I hear bad things about having to do it with the contrast... I hope you were ok! I dunno why I can take all the pain they can dish out at a beauty shop, but everything medical seems to be a hundred times worse.

Yes, especially when scanning the brain. I'm okay, no pitutary tumor. They couldn't tell at first. :3

I'm working in an insurance company, precisely by liquidation of personal damages.

Awww... Sometimes clients can be the worst part of doing business. (Any business.) But I'm glad for you that there are interesting parts to your job. Life would get horribly dull otherwise.

yeah...
I'm just trying to see the good points of everything... otherwise my work would make me totally stressed.

That's a healthy way to see it... Trying to find the good in things can make all the difference in a situation.

Oh migraines! I hope you're ok now. My mother suffered for many years from migraines. I have a deep empathy for anyone that has those. You poor dear!!
I've never had to have an MRI with contrast. (Thankfully.) I have always heard bad things about having to do it with contrast. It sounds miserable.
Sometimes it seems like the diagnosis (and the cure in some cases) is worse than the disease. But I do hope your headaches are better.

I've been in this machine... I didn't get bored; I was too busy having little panic attacks. LOL!

Oh, I wish I had. But I didn't think it would be a big deal before I got in. And once I was in... Well, it seemed like the kind of thing that shouldn't be interrupted. Now I feel silly. I honestly didn't expect to be nervous at all.

Yeah... it was my first (and only) time. I went in for neck pain, and they found 2 bulging discs. (Not serious at all really.)

My bulging discs are in my lower back and they cause me a lot of pain and problems...diagnosed as 'not serious', but I think that's relative. It could also be that the magnetic field itself made you nervous...literally.

FantasyStock In reply to WarpedOrbit [2007-02-21 04:39:24 +0000 UTC]
OUCH! Yeah, bulging discs are very painful, but I've had good luck with yoga and physical therapy to keep it in check.
You know, I never thought of that... The magnetic field probably could upset the nerves. That makes a lot of sense to me.
I hope your back gets better!

Bleagh...my back is as good as it's going to get. It's been over 6 years and I still have to see a chiripractor; that helps alot, but my back is now prone to 'going out' at the most inoppportune times. Last week I got sick and I coughed...and that sent it out. The most annoying thing is the unreliability because when the discs pop out I'm useless. I can't stand, bend or sit, I have to lay around with ice packs for a few days. I never could do yoga; I'm the most unflexible 'healthy' person you'll ever meet...even as a baby the doctors noticed that about me. I do use the yoga breathing though, it's helpful for my asthma. I'm willing to bet that manmade electromagnetic fields do a lot of surprising things to people and the environment...I wouldn't be surprised if it's a cause of beached whales.

I agree with you about whales and electromagnetic fields. I think that's part of why people suffer from jet lag when flying in a plane against the sun.
As for chiropractors, I feel that my body resists chiropractic manipulatoin like yours resists yoga. I've never been in more pain than when I tried chiropractic manipulation. Even orthopedic manipulation hurts my neck and back beyond what I'd ever thought they could.
But to each his own, yes? We must listen to what our bodies tell us about ourselves. Everyone's medical cures are as individual as our fingerprints. (Which is kind of why I don't like the type of generic medical practices that we seem to have in the US.)
