I guess I DID end up submitting stuff before it was too long, didn't I? Oh well.05/13/2012, one day after my birthday. Third serious drawing since turning 16 years old. ^^ Almost end of the school year, too. Can't wait.

Yeah, it is. The most I've ever spent on any art is probably an hour, maybe less.
Music, on the other hand... Takes days. >.<

Hah, whoa! You know, when I was a little younger (around 13-14) I only did HUGE projects when I drew. But that makes for very slow progress, I found. So yeah, I do much smaller/shorter sketches most of the time nowadays.
Ah, yes, music. I also make music, that's cool how you also make music. Yeah, I seem to have gotten... worse at making music lately, and it also takes a lot longer and I never finish songs any more. Kind saddening. :C

Me, I mostly do 8bit music. Started out with Famitracker, did about 30 attempts at songs with around 30+ scraps, and then I started using MilkyTracker within a few months ago. I find that 8bit is a pretty good starting point when it comes to music, at least for me. Milkytracker helps you get a feel for the elements that make a song good, and you actually get to get hands-on with all of the inner workings of your sound samples without having to go through a bunch of complicated stuff.

Garageband. At first, it seems rather easy to throw a song together using loops and stuff, but I feel like it is worth it to actually compose music using MIDI samples, which is what I try to do. And I get results, I guess.

No problem! It isn't every day that I'll meet somebody that draws and composes, and is willing to talk to me. ^^ Plus I really needed something to do, so yeah.

Hahaha, you're quite welcome. I know, right? It's not often at all that people give meaningful feedback/criticism these days. People are too shy, and the crappiest things on the internet get the most attention. It's a shame.

Well, yea.
It also has to do with the way that criticism is delivered. Certain wording can make a simple correction sound like a sarcastic remark, so I tend to criticize with caution, if you know what I mean.

Haha, well "correctly" is a term that I tend not to use in art, because there are many ways to go at it (many of which are better than the way I did), and I myself am not incredibly pleased with the coloring job I did here. But it's all good, it was my first time doing something like this. Well, at least with this much detail and stuff.

Hahaha, thanks--but I still have a long way to go, and I'm still working on improving. That's what I love about art, there's always some way you can better yourself in it. And actually, you're starting to get better as well, just don't be afraid to go beyond your normal limits, draw something you've never thought of drawing! ^^

Hah, well that was pretty inspiring. You know, I had this pretty funny idea for an animation. When I finish it (won't be any time soon), I'll be sure to send you the link once it's up. It's probably not going to be amazingly animated or great visually, but I'll do my best and try to keep the quality at least somewhat respectable. Then again, it's a comedy thing. Might become a meme. We'll see.
