Description My aunt has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Bentley. He's so adorable! I knew I had to make a needle felted version someday and here he is!

This is one of those projects that began years ago and only now got picked up again and finished. Other projects just fly into completion. The creative process is different for everybody, of course, but is it different for every PROJECT? Tell me your lingering project stories in the comments!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it!

It's made from wool that's felted by stabbing with a needle in a method called needle felting. The needle has little barbs on it that grabs the fibers of the wool and twists and mats them together into "felt." A blob of wool, that just looks like a ball of cotton or something, gets shaped and poked into a very firm, very solid felted sculpture the more you stab it with the needle. I start most of my projects with a pipe cleaner armature to give it a kind of skeleton which I then wrap with wool. It's very fun! But it can be extremely time consuming, doing all that stabbing and poking.

Thank you for asking! I hope that answers the question.
